We are proud to announce a new category on our blog: wearable technology.
Right from the beginning URBAN TOOL´s heart and intention was always close to this innovative field of functional and interactive wear and textiles. Even before starting the brand URBAN TOOL in 2004 we, a group of enthusiastic and unstoppable university leavers, experimented and researched on all aspects of wearable technology. Sure in the year 2000 this was way too early for the market and so very brave projects like “sound2wear” we developed together wit h a Viennese company failed due to being a too early innovation for the consumer market. But since then and always we admired and believed in the innovation force of wearables and in the demand for functional wear and emotional electronics. We developed and launched several pioneering wearable projects over the years, some of them have reached the market, some of them only a prototype level, but of all them proved our skills and passion for wearable technologies. The current collection of URBAN TOOL is solving today’s questions of how to make things wearable. Future collections will be able to embed more of our pioneering ideas since wearable technologies are becoming more an industrial standard and competitive.
